SENICA is a Michigan State licensed substance abuse educational program. The goal of SENICA is to provide educational and therapy services to those that have received a court order. These courses include alcohol, drug, and character awareness and their effects on addictive behaviors.

Our programs are interactive group classes that encompass a developmental and adaptive philosophy. Many behaviors are seen as an expression of vulnerability or as a deficiency of self-regulation. Through insight oriented and cognitive behavioral approaches, our seminars explore the individual’s defenses. We foster a better adaptation to reality and raise awareness of the disorganizing effects these defensive operations may have. A team consisting of a psychiatrist, psychologists, authors, and attorneys developed SENICA’s curriculum. SENICA also utilizes an advisory committee consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, attorneys and leaders in education from W.S.U, U of M, and UCLA.

Our substance abuse and alcohol educational programs are designed to serve all levels of addictive behavior and demographics from basic education through support for habitual offenders and continued AA/NA attendance. SENICA emphasizes individual insight into character awareness.
